Questar has always been the Rolls Royce of portable telescopes. They came with a fitted leather carrying case that held the telescope and all of its accessories.

The Meade ETX series telescopes were similar in design, though a lot, lot less expensive. And they came without the fancy fitted case of the Questar.

We came up with a version of the Questar case for the ETX, though made out of wood rather than leather. However, the design was very similar. The telescope's legs and eyepieces were fitted into the cover and the interior lined with red velvet.

Not shown, behind the ETX, is storage for its sun filter and tools for keeping the telescope adjusted properly.
